I was born on Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque N.M. and grew up in Los Alamos N.M. Growing up in the secret town where Oppenheimer lead the building of the atomic bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki gave me a unique small town experience that only those of us who glow in the dark understand. I often feel a moral dilemma about my hometown which is also where my family legacy is in the form of the X Lovato softball field that was dedicated to and named after my dad in 1975, he died of a heart attack at the age of 35 in 1974. I am an active anti-theist, non-believing feminist and book lover with a private library that to date has almost 1,000 volumes in it; including several rare and out of print editions. My prize collection of volumes written by J. Robert Oppenheimer sits amidst my collection of books about Los Alamos occupying it’s own set of shelves. I have a passionate interest in religious history and philosophy; I do not however have a very high opinion of most philosophers. I dream of a world without religion and blame it’s institutions for virtually all the oppression of and violence against women in the world to date. I have little admiration or respect for our hypocritical slave owning and misogynist founding fathers and do not understand the sacred regard given to the Constitution that does not protect me as a woman and strongly feel it should be scrapped and rewritten excluding all any gender referencing words such as he, his and him. It is my opinion that America needs to guarantee not freedom of religion but freedom from religion. My politics lean more toward the Democratic ideals, I do not claim any party, I am not in anyway Republican though. I am very passionate, opinionated and empathetic. I hope you enjoy my blog!
